Leather

Leather is one of the oldest natural product still in use today.

There are a number of ways to tan leather; One of them are vegetable tanning and chrome tanning. Vegetable tanning is the traditional, more time consuming and expensive way of tanning leather. The process can take up to 12 months to produce a piece of high quality dyed leather. Due to its natural appearance and excellent quality, is the leather that most artisans prefer.

Chrome tanning takes significantly less time (takes only one day) and is less expensive, but the quality of the end result suffers. While 80 to 90% of the leather in today's market is produced by chrome tanning, we have opted to use only vegetable tanned leather provided by the best suppliers who have a rich heritage and long history of providing the best products.

We use only cowhide leather provided by some of the best tanneries in Europe such as:

Finally we can say the vegetable tanned leather is one of the most important aspects for the Artisan as in order to create an exclusive, high quality product, the raw materials need to be exceptional as well.
