Cyartisan's products are absolutly 100% handcrafted.

We design, prototype, quality test and produce every piece we offer by hand in our own Atelier in Toledo, Spain. Aligned with our high quality standards, each good its made one at a time from start to finish by hand.

We cut all of our leather pieces, dye, varnish, wax the edges, stitch and finally hand polish each product. This is a multi-stage process that takes a considerable proportion of the manufacturing time. One of the most important and time consuming steps is the Handstitching, known as "Saddlestitch".

This is the focal point of the whole crafting process as it produces a stronger and more flexible end product than is possible to achieve with a machine. This technique has been passed down from master to apprentice (often amongst family) and is hundreds of years old. This step is the single greatest indicator of the care and pride taken in an artisan's work... it is the stamp of quality.

One consequence of good saddle stitching though is that it takes time; (up to 10 times more time than machine stitching), the question is, if it’s a justifiable price for the time investement and concentration instilled in the finished object.

The time demand of this process is most likely the reason why this devotion to craft results is rare in today’s market, but this makes goods produced with such techniques rare and valued among those who have witnessed the quality of this type of crafted product.
